Sunshine
Lemme has been an Emergency Responder since 1991,
first as an Emergency Medical Technician, then as a Firefighter and HazMat Technician,
certifications he still holds along with
several rescue certificates. He also teaches several CPR/AED Courses every year
for the Montauk Fire Department where he volunteers and was named "Firefighter of the Year 2002".
Mr. Lemme began doing BCP in 1999 and found a new career that he loves, as it integrates several of his interests, including computers, emergency response, and writing with his talents
for organization and arrangement. He recently
completed FEMA's Professional Development Series of courses and has many other certificates. He is currently enrolled in a Masters of Science in Protection Management at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, CUNY.
Mr. Lemme has worked as a webmaster since 1995 when he created the first online art gallery in the Hamptons. He has published in Dan's Papers , the Montauk Sun and the
East Hampton Independent in diverse subjects
including computers, the peopling of the
American continent, travel, and, of course, emergency preparedness.
